Q: What is MLMPro*? What does it do?
A: MLMPro* is Advanced Contact Management & Downline Tracking Software for Network and Multi-Level Marketing professionals. It gives its users an advantage by allowing fast and efficient downline tracking, prospect evaluation, and follow ups. It assists the Network Marketer in maintaining clear and frequent downline communication, leading to strong relationships with talented contacts. Q: How do I become a Promoter?
A: If you are registered user of MLMPro*, call our Sales line at (604)633-1004 and ask to be signed up as a Promoter. The cost is $50 USD (+ Shipping & Handling). Click here for more information on becoming an MLMPromoter.

Q: How do I install MLMPro*?
A: If you are installing from diskette, insert the diskette into your floppy drive (usually Drive A:). Then find the floppy drive in your File Manager (Windows 3.1) or Explorer (Windows95) and double-click on Setup.exe. From there, follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

If you have downloaded mlmpro2.zip or mlmpro3.zip from the Internet, unzip the file first, then double-click on Setup.exe.

Q: How do I unzip the program that I have downloaded?
A: First of all, you must have WinZip on your system. If you do not have WinZip, you can download a free evaluation copy from www.winzip.com. Follow the instructions As we do not distribute this program ourselves, it is important that you read all accompanying documentation and licensing information that comes with it. We cannot give technical support for any problems that you may encounter using third party software in conjunction with MLMPro*.

Q: How do I update my copy of MLMPro* when a revision is made?
A: Go to our website, download the current version, and install it in the directory that contains your present version.

Q: How do I unlock the program?
A: First, you must have your computer turned on and MLMPro* installed on your hard drive. Then call our sales line at (604)633-1004 and say that you would like to register your copy of MLMPro*. Our operator will take your payment and issue you a customer number and password to unlock the program. You can also register online by check (USA only) or credit card (international).

Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, and American Express. Check by Fax in the US only!!

Q: What is a Template and what would I use it for? How do you create a Template?
A: A template is a special file that tells MLMPro* the rules to use when building a tree. Because each company has different rules, each company has a different template. MLMPro* comes with over 200 company templates already created. If your company's is not represented among them, click here for information on how to have one made for you, or consult the "How To" section of the MLMPro* Help File to find out how to design a template of your own.

Q: If my company does not appear in the list of templates, can I still use MLMPro*?
A: Yes you can. You can make your own templates right in the program. (By the way, if you would like us to include your company's template in future releases of MLMPro*, you can give us the information we need online. Click here to enter your company information and submit it to us.)

Q: What is the the Auto Close check box on the Splash Screen for?
A: If you are a registered user, you can check this box to automatically close the splash screen at startup. This means that when you open MLMPro* you will no longer have to click on OK, however if you select it you can not change it later.

Q: Can I use MLMPro* on my Mac?
A: If your Mac allows you to run Windows, then yes. MLMPro* works with both Windows95 and Windows 3.1, and there is software that allows you to run Windows on your Mac, although it does slow down your system considerably. Some Power Macs can even run Windows programs without additional software.

Q: How do I find out what version I have?
A: Select "About" from the File Menu to bring up your Splash Screen. In the lower right hand corner in your version number. (v.2.07, v.3.02 b, etc.)

Q: If I don't use my computer to dial out, how can I log my calls?
A: You can keep track of them in your notes or by recording them as events, but the Phone Log is a true log and can not be edited.

Q: I have two copies of MLMPro*. How do I make sure they contain the same information?
A: Back up your original database (from the File Menu) and use the file created to restore to the second copy.

Q: How do I print my reports? I clicked "Done" and nothing happened.
A: You have to click on Preview first and then click on the Printer Button along the top of the Preview window. See the "How To" section of the help file for step by step instructions on how to print your reports.

Q: How do I enter a contact?
A: Go to the Contact Page, enter the contact information, and click the post button (checkmark). You can add the contact's phone and address information in a similar manner on the Phone/Address Page. See the "How To" section of the Help File for step by step instructions.

Q: How do I create a New Organization?
A: Go to the Tree Page and click the "New" button. The window that pops up will have a list of companies on it. Double-click on your company in the list and follow the instructions that appear.

Q: How do I add contacts to my tree?
A: Drag your contacts from the contact list on the upper Desktop and drop them under their sponsors in the tree display.

Q: How do I rename an organization that has already been created?
A: Go to the Tree Page and click "New". Next, click the Edit Organizations tab on the window that pops up. Select the name of the Organization from the list on the right hand side of the window and change the name that appears in the box below the list. When you are finished, click "Save Organization", then click "Done" to return to the Tree Page.

Q: How do I print mailing labels?
A: On the button bar is one button that has a picture of a printer on it. Click this button to go to the MLMPro* Reports window. From here, select the tab of the type of report you would like to print and set the properties of the report or label. Click "Preview" to see your report on your screen, then click the Print button. (Make sure you have paper or labels loaded into your printer before printing.)

Q: Can I use different sizes and types of labels or am I limited to the ones you have listed?
A: You can configure custom labels of any size. See the "How To" section of the Help File for details.

Q: How do I use Import / Export?
A: The Import item of the File Menu allows you to import contacts from a comma delimited file created by some other database program. Export creates comma delimited files from the contacts in your MLMPro* database for use with other programs. For more detailed information, see the MLMPro* Help File.

Q: What does Backup / Restore do?
A: This feature allows you to copy your whole database to a single file which can be stored on a diskette or another computer. This way, if your computer crashes and you lose your database, you can restore it from this file.

Q: What programming language was used to create MLMPro*?
A: Delphi!

Q: On the Phone/Address Page, after I have entered a new location for the phone or the address, the text I typed stays in the dropdown list from then on. I don't need it anymore, is there any way to remove it from the list?
A: Choose Edit Lookup List from the File Menu. Select the list that you want to edit, then click on the offending item in the list. The item will appear highlighted, and you can remove it by clicking "Delete Entry".

Q: Can I write letters from MLMPro*? Can I track expenses with it?
A: Not yet, but expect these features to appear in a future version!

Q: Can I access an MLMPro* database on a computer that is connected to mine via a network?
A: No, and Network capability is not intended to be added in the future.

Q: Can I use MLMPro* from DOS?
A: No. MLMPro* is a Windows based program. It can be used with either Windows 3.1 or Windows95.

Q: Can I use MLMPro* to track my corporate downline?
A: No. MLMPro* is designed with the Network Marketing distributor in mind. Q: Can I print only today's events?
A: Not yet. Currently, the Event Report prints all of your events in the format you configure. We do intend to let you limit which events are included, but this will be in a future version of the program.

Q: I can't see my setup.exe in my A: drive. How do I find it? I have two setups which one do I use?
A: Place the diskette in your A: drive. If you are using Windows95, select "Run..." from the Start menu, type A:\SETUP.EXE in the space provided, and press the Enter key. If you are using Windows 3.1, go to your program manager and select "Run" from the File menu. Type A:\SETUP.EXE in the space provided, and press the Enter key.
