Setup and InstallationThere are two options: We do it for you, or you do it yourself.Your own Server, Your own WayBecause each UNIX system is different (depending on the operating system, software installed, access rights, etc.), we will only do installations of the security layer on servers that we provide. The reason is that we know them well, and the installation only takes 5 - 6 hours to do. On an unknown server, this would GREATLY increase install time.For a small fee, we will provide you with the source code to the treeripper so that it can be compiled on your server. From there, it's up to your UNIX gurus to install and implement a security layer. If you have good UNIX people, this is an excellent solution, as you then have complete control over how things are set up and run: you can tailor options to suit your needs. Or, let us do it…We will obtain for you a "Virtual Server" which you will have full access to. You will be able to add anything that you like to this server, including web pages, additional CGI's, FTP files, etc… whatever you like.We will install our customized security layer, and will give you detailed instructions on how to run and manage it. Whenever you wish to update the trees on your server, it is a simple matter of exporting the master genealogy and password file from your corporate software, and FTPing them onto your server. That's it. Low maintenance, low setup, small time requirement. Your distributors will then be able to get their genealogies whenever they wish, and you know that the information is only going to be received by the people that should get it.
